2021-2022 Pui Kiu College
Notes for Grade 1 Application

1. Pui Kiu College accepts applications from all regions in Hong Kong. Any child born on or before 31 December 2016 and eligible for attending schools in Hong Kong may apply for admission.
2. The number of Grade 1 places available is 164 for the 2022-2023 school year.
3. The tuition fee for Grade 1 is HKD25,300 per annum in 2021-2022 school year, payable in 10 installments. [Subject to future revision]
4. Admission seminars will be held on 11 September 2021. Enrollment for the admission seminars will begin on 17 August 2021 after 6:00 p.m. and will close when the quota is full. For further information, please refer to our school website (https://www.puikiucollege.edu.hk).
5. Grade 1 application period starts from 26 July 2021 and ends on 17 September 2021. Parents are required to apply online by completing the application form on our website. Upon confirmation of your application, applicants will be invited to join the admission assessment.
6. In view of the uncertainties associated with the COVID-19 epidemic, the first round admission assessment will require applicants to record and submit presentation videos to our school for evaluation in order to minimize the chance of infection due to crowd gathering. Parents may login our online application system from 9:00 a.m. onwards on 25 September 2021 to check the topic(s) of the presentation videos and the associated arrangements. The links for the video clips have to be submitted within the period from 9:00 a.m., 25 September 2021 to 6:00 p.m., 26 September 2021.
7. Application Fee :
   The application fee is HK$50. Parents are required to pay the application fee with Visa / Master (PayPal) on our online application system. Please note that:
   • The application fee is non-refundable.
8. All personal data provided in the application form will be handled by relevant staff of our school. The data will be kept confidential.
9. The personal data provided by unsuccessful applicants will be destroyed afterwards.
10. Criteria for G1 Admission:
    Assessment Performance (Video submission / Interview mode): 90%
    Extra-curricular activities: 10%
11. Admitted students who have signed the “Place Acceptance Letter” will not be allocated any Primary One places through the Primary One Admission System of the Education Bureau.
12. A “School Fee Remission Scheme” has been put in place for needy students to ensure that no qualified students will be deprived of receiving education in our school. For details, please refer to the school website.
